3rd Year Undergraduate Project 3

Observatory, Cape Town

Select a site ( Rhodes Memorial, Kirstenbosch Gardens or the South African Astronomy Observatory) and design a “decoloinal” museum which tackles the significant yet unexpressed histories told by the landscape as “Cape Town’s ‘cultural landscape’ is a complex layering of centuries of interaction between people and their natural environment” . Respond to the natural environment, and camouflage your building as part of the landscape
